Shockingly slow Uber shift on a Thursday night
On a rainy Thursday night, I started my shift at around 10:30 PM, which is typically a busy time. I headed towards the city centre, but despite my expectations, no jobs came up on my Uber app. I waited for half an hour, but still nothing. I drove around the train station and even went around the entire ring road, but there were no job requests. I covered a distance of 20 miles, including popular areas like the city centre, but it was all dead miles. Shockingly, I did not receive a single job in almost 2 hours. It's not as easy as people think to make over £100 a day on Uber, and my experience that night was proof of that. In the end, I decided to call it a night and head home.
